2. TIRE PRESSURE & STAGGER
Both of these should be set before scaling.Always use your race set up for scaling.

     Dirt Works Recommendations:

IMCA-type Tire Pressure
                          LF - 10 psi      RF - 14 psi
                          LR - 10 psi      RR - 14 psi

IMCA-type Tire Stagger
                                 FRONT - 0 to 1/2"
                               REAR - 1/2" to 1 1/2"
*** Other tires and track conditions may vary these settings ***
3. FRAME HEIGHTS
(Based on 82" IMCA American Racer Tires.Add 1" to ride heights for UMP Hoosier tires)

     Dirt Works Recommendations:
                          LF - 5 1/4"      RF - 5 1/2"
                          LR - 6"      RR - 6" to 6 1/2"

*** Other tires and track conditions may vary these settings ***
4. WEIGHT PERCENTAGES
All scaling is done with 20 gals. to Full of fuel and without driver.
The standard DW modified should weigh 2250 to 2300 lbs.

           Left % ....................51-52 %
           Rear % ...................57.5-59.5 %
           LR Bite ...................20 lbs
5. FRONT END ALIGNMENT (Set Before Scaling)

CASTER                                                CAMBER
     LF : +1 1/2 degrees                                     +1 1/2 degrees
     RF : +5 degrees                                           -2 1/2 degrees

Toe : 1/8" to 1/4" OUT
6. PINION ANGLE (Set Before Scaling)

          2 Link , 4 Link , Z Link , Mono Leaf : 10 degrees down angle
Multi Leaf Springs : 5 to 6 degrees down angle
417-465-2410
                                        BEFORE SCALING YOUR DW MODIFIED

           1. Install correct offset wheels & tires with the correct stagger.
           2. Install the desired amount of fuel and check & fill all other liquids.
           3. Set general frame heights on all corners : LF,RF,LR,RR as shown below.
4. Square the rearend off the chassis tabs or punch marks on the upper rear frame rail
with
a plumbbob as shown below.
5. Set the Panhard (J-Bar) to correct angle as shown below.Start with 8" high on frame
side and level with the center of the yoke on the pinion side.
7. Set the Front End alignment
8. Set Pinion Angle.
NOW YOUR CAR IS READY TO SCALE
** Remember when you scale your car ; to gain more RR bite, raise the RR & LF ride
heights ; to gain more LR bite, raise the LR & RF ride heights. Always try to work all
four corners at the same time (1 turn in LF,1 turn out RF,1 turn in RR,1 turn out
LR)This will add or subtract bite without varying ride heights much.
Left side and Rear percentages will not change when adjusting the weight jacks, these
are static weights and can only change by adding or removing ballast.
